Good Ivy Printing Guidelines: Ensuring a Smooth Custom Printing Experience

At Good Ivy, we strive to make your custom product ordering process as seamless as possible. Our printing guidelines are designed to give you a clear understanding of what's needed for your designs to be printed accurately and professionally.

Copyright Notice Good Ivy cannot print designs containing trademarks or copyrighted material without proper authorization. If you submit an order with a copyrighted design, we will assume you have permission and will send an authorization form for signature. We will only proceed once the form is signed. If the form is not signed, cancellation and restocking fees will apply.

Accepted File Formats We accept a range of standard artwork formats:

  • Vector: AI (Adobe Illustrator), EPS, SVG
  • Raster: PSD (Adobe Photoshop), PNG, JPEG
  • Other: PDF

Vector artwork is preferred for the best results. Non-vector images should be at least 300 PPI, and transparent PNG files are ideal. If your design requires background removal, design fees will apply.

Design Fees and Options Good Ivy offers the following design services:

  • Print Ready: No modifications needed; no design fees.
  • Add-on: Adding text to an existing design.
  • File Prep: Converting file formats, removing backgrounds, resizing, etc.
  • Basic: Recreating basic designs or adding objects/clipart.
  • Standard: Basic vectorizing or creating simple designs.
  • Advanced: Advanced vectorizing or design creation from scratch.

Please ensure your design is ready or select the appropriate option to avoid additional fees after submission. Design fees are non-refundable and may change based on complexity.

General Design Guidelines

  • Gang Sheet: We only offer gang sheets for sublimation transfers. Other printing options should be ordered by individual design.
  • Color: Files should be saved in CMYK for accurate color matching. RGB files will be converted to CMYK, but color differences may occur.
  • Cut Lines & Crop Marks: Do not include cut lines or crop marks. We will add them based on your order specifications.
  • Bleed: We’ll add bleeds for products where applicable unless otherwise requested.
  • Fonts: Convert fonts to outlines for the best results, or embed them in your file to avoid additional design fees.

File Verification Before starting your project, the Good Ivy design team will verify that your files are print-ready. If issues arise, we will place your order on hold and contact you for updates. We will not check for spelling, grammar, or design choices once your order is approved.

Cutting Limitations Our cutting equipment has specific limitations. Designs with intricate details may need to be simplified to meet our requirements. We recommend solid areas be at least 0.08" thick, and removable areas be at least 0.09" thick. If adjustments cannot be made, your design will need to be printed instead.
